SUBJECT: TEMPORARY STAFFING SERVICES REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The San Diego Workforce Partnership, Inc., (Workforce Partnership) is soliciting proposals from vendors for cost effective temporary staffing services, primarily in the area of administrative support. The Workforce Partnership is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, chartered by the City of San Diego and County of San Diego to administer federal employment and training funds. Serving as the region's workforce broker, the Workforce Partnership creates workforce solutions for employers and provides a variety of workforce development services to the region's education and training providers, as well as to local adult and youth residents.
The Workforce Partnership fills short-term staffing needs through temporary staffing services. The demand is unpredicatable, but qualified individuals are needed from time to time because of employee turnover or individual leave or vacation. The duration of assignment is usually from one to six weeks. Temporary staff is not used for assignments exceeding three months. The assignments include receptionist, administrative assistant, data entry clerk, customer service representative, and executive assistant. On occasion, there is need to payroll selected staff through the temporary staffing agency.
