CALIFORNIA INNOVATION CORRIDOR
The California Innovation Corridor is an online, collaborative zone initiated by a $15M/3-Year Department of Labor grant to the State of California and the California Space Authority titled, "Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development" (WIRED).
As proposed, the Corridor includes: the proposal developer and grant manager; the California Space Authority; the State of California's Labor and Workforce Development Agency and Employment Development Department; and over 60 industry, academic, workforce, and economic development participants extending across 13 counties, including the San Diego Workforce Partnership.
This Corridor team is conducting a joint effort to drive entrepreneurship, global manufacturing competitiveness, and 21st century workforce development. The three primary Corridor goals to accomplish a California "Workforce Transformation" are Innovation Support, Industrial Rejuvenation, and Talent Development.
