Tell us about your role at SDWP.
My role as Network Support Specialist is to provide support to the entire San Diego Workforce Partnership (SDWP) network. I am also involved in the technical aspect of troubleshooting a computer for problems and finding the quickest, best solution to fix them.
What do you like best about working in workforce development?
What I like best about working in workforce development is that we can assist individuals through our computer network services to achieve their greatest potential to obtain and retain meaningful employment.
What professional moment or project are you most proud of?
One of the moments that I’m really proud of is when we rolled out the Wi-Fi network for our office. It involved a lengthy process of gathering quotes, vendors, meetings and purchasing the equipment. We now have two VLAN’s, one for guest and the other for SDWP staff, that are served to access wireless capabilities for the 4th floor staff.
